Phantasm CS for Illustrator CS6 (Mac) now available!
Following intensive development, Astute Graphics is proud to release Phantasm CS for Illustrator CS6.
A big “thank you” to all our customers who we know have been waiting patiently for this moment.
We’ve received loads of feedback telling us many of you have not yet moved over to CS6 because you just can’t do without these tools. This initial version is for Mac OS. Please be assured that we are working hard on the Windows version which will be available shortly, together with VectorScribe and DrawScribe.

As you’ll notice from the movie above, we’ve invested heavily in ensuring perfect integration with Adobe’s new user interface. This is because we aim to improve your creative workflow at every opportunity.
Beta status
We are releasing Phantasm CS for Illustrator CS6 initially as a public beta. This is the first time Astute Graphics have taken this approach and reflects our awareness of the urgency to get CS6 upgrades into the hands of designers.
We feel that this version (2.5.6 2.5.7) is very stable having already undergone extensive testing. However, we are aware of the following minor issues which need to be resolved:
Ink coverage output preview mode does not allow for values to be edited- Occasionally, windows lose keyboard focus
Filter/Effect/Panel positions are not preserved- Popup controls don’t allow picking values with click-drag, requiring click-click
Separations panel shows the full separation list at startup (when no artwork is loaded)Artboards may not be positioned correctly when using the Output Preview toolsSpot swatches defined in LAB are displayed as black or white swatches in user interface color pickers
It is anticipated that an update to resolve these issues will be made available very shortly.

Upgrading
Existing Mac OS Phantasm CS users can download the CS6 installer from www.astutegraphics.com/download/.
Simply quit Illustrator CS6 and run the installer, following the instructions.
If your existing license key is already for Illustrator CS3 to CS6 (click here for our automated license key reminder) and you are operating a computer previously licensed for Phantasm CS using CS3 to CS5, no further action is required.
If your license is for an earlier version of Phantasm CS or for Illustrator CS3 to CS5, you may upgrade from only £19 (approximately $29 or €24) by visiting our upgrade page…

Any idea of when will the windows version be available for the rest of us, who are “patiently” waiting for it????
… I know it is not an easy job for you, believe me … but I LOVE Phantasm, and not being able to use it with my CS6, sucks

We’re looking to get the Windows releases out by the end of October. As with the Mac versions, they will be staggered in the order of SubScribe, Phantasm CS, VectorScribe and DrawScribe.
