Adobe Illustrator CS6 sneak peek

On 26 March 2012, Adobe provided a “sneak peek” of a forthcoming release of Adobe Illustrator. Product manager for Adobe Illustrator, Brenda Sutherland (interviewed by Astute Graphics on this blog earlier this year), previewed both the new pattern creation tool in the forthcoming CS6 release as well as the new user interface, now matching other professional Adobe products.

Dynamic Sketch preview

With the availability of the recently announced Astute Graphics plugin for Adobe Illustrator, DrawScribe, drawing ever-nearer, it is time to introduce the second tool within the new product; Dynamic Sketch.

A few days ago, we introduced its counterpart, the InkScribe tool. Whereas InkScribe replaced the Pen tool and allows for the improved creation of precise vector paths, the Dynamic Sketch tool is all about drawing more naturally in Illustrator.

Since the launch of Phantasm CS v2 last year, Astute Graphics adopted a commercial licensing system to protect its products, including the very popular VectorScribe plug-in.

Since then, we have come to recognise that the security measures excessively hindered genuine customers. Which is why over the past months, Astute Graphics has invested in a completely new licensing system tailored towards our customer requirements.

The confirmation email provides details of all purchases made through Astute Graphics directly (ie. not via a distributor) associated with your email address. It also adds useful upgrade links to allow you to increase the product level or number of concurrent users permitted simultaneously.
