Big news: Improved licensing system, installers and license policy
Since the launch of Phantasm CS v2 last year, Astute Graphics adopted a commercial licensing system to protect its products, including the very popular VectorScribe plug-in.
Since then, we have come to recognise that the security measures excessively hindered genuine customers. Which is why over the past months, Astute Graphics has invested in a completely new licensing system tailored towards our customer requirements.
Everybody loves our products. The same couldn’t have been said for our old licensing system and licensing policy. Today, every new and existing customer of Phantasm CS v2 and VectorScribe benefit!
New versions of VectorScribe and Phantasm CS
To cater for all the benefits detailed below, all Astute Graphics products have now received a major update.

Each upgrade is freely available as a new 14 day full trial, and every Phantasm CS v2 and VectorScribe customer has free, automatic access to these updates. See the end of this blog article for more information.
Improved licensing system
The new Astute Graphics licensing system has been vastly simplified for all users. For example, the activation and de-activation process can be achieved in a few clicks, with the system now informing you fully at each step of the way.
It also cuts down on the hassle if you lose a hard drive or need to work on more than 2 computers. And it is designed to be more robust when performing major system updates on your computer.
This all means that it leaves you to less time frustrated and more time creative!

Improved product installers
Our plug-in installers have been back to school. The new installers are clearer, unified into single releases for Mac or Windows, and Mac users no longer need to reboot!
More flexible license policy
Astute Graphics has updated its licensing policy to allow the number of licenses purchased to equate to the number of concurrent users. You can now install on all necessary computers!
This policy automatically transfers to all existing VectorScribe and Phantasm CS v2 customers.

I’m an existing customer – how do I get my new license key?
All customers have been sent a new license key by email on 17 February 2012. If you haven’t received it, please check your spam filters.

Once you have your new license key in the format of XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX, follow the instructions below or refer to the licensing page.

Windows users are advised to first uninstall their existing plugin Quit Illustrator and run the installer. Follow the installer’s instructions. |
Run Illustrator and click on the Activate button in the product’s start-up window. Copy/paste your license key (from above) and click OK. |

First of all I congratulate them on their programs and have served me very useful.
The truth that I have purchased two programs: the VectorScribe and DrawScribe and I have settled life.
I want to suggest your web chequen well as on all computers that have not opened the menu looks good, like they need to adjust some page designs so you can fully appreciate the site and its contents, I believe it is of utmost importance that part because I think that all your product you sell it for anything else anywhere.
