Astute Graphics acquires PointExp IP

Astute Graphics is the leading Adobe Illustrator plugin developer, producing the popular DrawScribe, VectorScribe and Phantasm CS range of plugins enabling improved creative workflows for customers the world-over. Its commitment to the design and publishing market has been well proven, recently demonstrated by the highly anticipated launch of the acclaimed vector drawing toolset, DrawScribe.
The aquisition of PointExp’s products will both compliment and further extend Astute Graphics’ range of vector creative workflow tools for Adobe Illustrator users. An announcement will be made in the near future disclosing the plans Astute Graphics has for many of the functions found in PathToolkit and Rasterino. And the announcement is likely to be a happy surprise to many Astute Graphics customers!
Astute Graphics is also very pleased to announce that Dmitry — the developer behind the excellent PointExp products — has now joined the Astute Graphics development team. It is fantastic to welcome Dmitry aboard, working closely with the developers behind the successful DrawScribe, VectorScribe and Phantasm CS products to ensure continued exciting tools for all vector designers.

Hi Robert – we expect to reveal more details in April. But please be aware that we are not looking to directly compete with any existing plugin as the the tools will be based on much of PointExp’s original functionality initially.

Hey Robert.
I downloaded the pointexp pathtoolkit 1.3 as a trail and really got into it. Can I purchase a serial for that still?
Thanks.
Hi ampersandrew,
You will no longer be able to purchase PathToolkit directly. However, if you have already purchased (since March 2011) or intend to purchase any Astute Graphics plugin, you will receive SubScribe Designer freely. SubScribe is based on PathToolkit.
Best wishes,
NIck
Thanks Nick (Sorry I called you Robert).
I downloaded (and paid for) the VectorScribe plugin but I don’t see the SubScribe you mentioned. Can you direct me to it?
Thanks sir!
We (just about) managed to get SubScribe’s availability live yesterday. Due to make noise about it later today. To gain access to your license, please visit http://www.astutegraphics.com/products/subscribe/get-license-code.html
Best wishes,
Nick
Thanks Nick. I now have Subscribe working but even though I’ve installed VectorScribe, 3 of the 4 icons dont show up in my Tools.
Thanks for the help.
How about Rasterino 1.0? Free? Can i get the serial…? pls
Hi Mongki – Rasterino’s functionality may appear again shortly, but it will not be a free product. Please keep an eye on our announcements for updates.
